Palmer Engineering Art Projects
I’ve been working on a couple of projects and I’m finally finished.
I have been commissioned by a structural engineering firm to provide art for their reception area.
I suggested we use the elements that they use in their designs… steel, wood, and concrete.
The first piece, I wanted it to be an art piece that looked like a slab of concrete.
I used a 40”x 40” canvas with joint compound made to look like concrete.
The second is reclaimed wood pieces that I put together like a puzzle and stained with a dark wax stain, and the last was a design that I had a welder put together out of rebar.
I think everything turned out pretty cool!
Here is everything hung from my structural engineering project.
This engineering firm does, and have done, a lot of wonderful projects all over the US and internationally.
I feel honored to have my work in their office.
